王维忠，博士，教授，硕士生导师，中国运筹学会图论组合分会理事, 美国数学会《数学评论》（MR）评论员。教育部学位与研究生教育发展中心学位论文评审专家。主要研究方向为代数图论，在Discrete Appl. Math.、Linear Algebra Appl.等重要学术期刊上发表论文30余篇。研究工作丰富和推广了图的拓扑指数以及图谱领域的相关结果。已主持完成1项国家自然科学基金项目、1项甘肃省自然科学基金项目。参与完成国家自然科学基金项目3项、甘肃省自然科学基金项目2项。

    主要承担本科生课程《高等数学》、《线性代数》及研究生课程《代数学基础》、《图谱理论》和《代数图论》的教学工作。主持完成兰州交通大学本科教学改革项目2项，主持在研兰州交通大学研究生教育教学质量提升工程建设项目1项、兰州交通大学创新创业教育教学改革研究项目1项。

    作为指导教师参加“全国大学生数学建模竞赛”获甘肃省特等奖和国家二等奖各3次。2010年获甘肃省高校科技进步二等奖、2018年获兰州交通大学“优秀研究生任课教师”荣誉称号、2021年获兰州交通大学第九届“教书育人奖-先进个人”。
